Irina V. Vysotskaya, PhD, MD, DSc, Professor in the Department of Oncology, I.M. Sechenov Medical Academy, author of 17 monographs, an atlas of breast cancer, 20 educational and methodical manuals, and 200 publications.
Dr. Vysotskaya was born in Moscow region. She graduated from I.M. Sechenov Moscow Medical Academy (Faculty of General Medicine) and then had clinical residency and internship with a course of surgery. She had trainings in surgery and oncology in leading Moscow Clinics.
She continued her post-graduate studies with a course in surgery. She prepared and defended her PhD. Dr. Vysotskaya started working in the Department as a laboratory assistant. At the same time, she worked at the Russian Cancer Research Center and continue her research. She has published hundreds of research articles, 8 monographs, dozens of guidelines on breast diseases and thyroid cancer.
